This unique museum is dedicated to recreating life during the period of the first settlers that founded the Kibbutz movement.  The original buildings in the yard have been largely preserved in their original form.

The museum is located inside what used to be the kibbutz dinning room which displays the local history of the community and its members. On the premises is an archeological museum emphasizing the location of the settlement on the ancient "Way of the Sea". There are finds connected with the many people that used this international road in ancient times.

In the restored basalt stone house is a memorial room, kibbutz archives and a display of weapons that were used for defense in the early years of the kibbutz

Other sites of interest on the kibbutz are the original metal shop and foundry, tractor repair garage, where an impressive number of operative agricultural machines can be operated, a modern grain silo with a display of modern agricultural techniques, and a restored Turkish locomotive that visitors can ride in, still runs over a kilometer of track.  A film explains the history of the settlements in the area and you may also enjoy a tractor ride through the Kibbutz.

A variety of activities for individuals and groups especially directed towards children are offered:  Bread baking in the old oven, in season there is an operable olive oil press as well as wheat harvesting and winnowing, tractor tours of the present kibbutz and dairy.
